De La Soul first dropped in 1989 and eventually some Nike Dunk SB’s followed. Fast forward 10 years after the release of the original dunk high and low, and the color schemes have been flipped between the high and low cut for a commemorative release! So these Nike Dunk Low SB De La Soul reflect the color scheme of the OG high top colorway.
Peep my article on the white/yellow high top re-release here. The 2005 green/brown highs were always more sought after than the white/yellow lows, and now that they’ve done the flip from high to low and vice versa, it seems like the brown/green colorway is still the more sought after of the two. I never got up the cash to buy the highs from ’05, so I’m stoked I get a chance to finally rock this colorway.
The material mix is of course dope with vinyl holographic uppers featuring artwork from the De La Soul album 3 Feet High and Rising as well as brown suede, green elephant print and a leather swoosh. Orange piping throughout finishes the look.
With respect to comfort, these are fairly average for a relatively modern Nike SB. If you find SB Dunks to be snug, you wouldn’t be the only one. In this case, going up a half size from your normal true size can be helpful.
These come with green and brown laces, but besides that no extras.
